Bebob BOX-HVR Holder for Sony RecordersThe Bebob BOX-HVR is an under camera, tripod mounted metal frame that holds recorders such as the Sony HVR-DR60. Alternatively, the BOX-FS is designed for Firestore FS-4 and FS-100 recorders. ![]() As the factory-made attachment of the hard disk recorder on the camcorder grip can detract from its ease of operation, we have positioned the hard drive recorder under the camera in the box; in a similar fashion as the Box-FS. In this position the HVR-DR60 is perfectly protected from small every-day accidents. ![]() The recorder display remains easily visible in the back. The drawer can be locked when in use. All of the recorder's buttons are easily accessible in this position. If one wants to keep everything as compact as possible, the drawer can be pushed in completely. ![]() The drawer in the HVR-DR60 also has space for an NPF battery to provide power supply. It is mounted behind the hard disk rather than in front of it in order to reduce the overall height. If an external power source is needed (using Coco I or Coco II, for example) there is a 7.2 V outlet. ![]() If you choose to work without a tripod, you will find that the Box-HVR can be used as a support surface and simultaneously offers protection for the camera. ![]() The topside of the Box-HVR contains a pin and a quarter inch screw for attaching to the bottom of the camera. Just as in the case of a tripod plate, the screw has to be tightened in order to firmly fasten the Box-HVR beneath the camera. On the bottom of the Box there are two mounting points for a tripod plate (a hole and a quarter inch thread), which allows it to be attached to any type of tripod. The Box-HVR is made of aluminum and synthetic material and, therefore, weighs only about 600g. Specifications
